The MSG Centac C700e centrifugal compressor builds on the C700 platform with improved aerodynamic efficiency. AVISTA selects the package against the required air flow, discharge pressure, cooling-water conditions and electrical supply.
The C700e develops the C700 platform with revised aerodynamic components for improved efficiency. The offered C115MX3 selection uses a three-stage airend. Individual geared pinions drive backward-leaning stainless-steel impellers, and stationary diffusers recover pressure from the impeller discharge.
The reference proposal specifies AGMA 12 precision helical gearing, dynamically balanced rotor assemblies and hydrodynamic journal/thrust bearing support. Vibration probes monitor rotor condition. Stage heads and rotor access are arranged to support inspection and maintenance.
Non-contact floating carbon rings provide the Centac air/oil sealing arrangement. Injected seal air between the oil rings and venting to atmosphere separate the compressed-air stream from the gearbox lubricant. Seal-air provisions must be included in the site utility review.
Integrated cartridge coolers remove compression heat and work with mesh separators and condensate traps. A self-contained low-pressure oil system supplies gears and bearings through main and auxiliary pumps, oil filtering, heating and water cooling. The oil reservoir is integrated into the baseplate.
In the referenced offer, Xe-145F control provides Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485 and Ethernet communication. Inlet guide vanes modulate air delivery; bypass regulation covers demand below the throttling limit. Motor winding and bearing PT100 sensors support alarms and trips. Connected monitoring depends on the selected HELIX scope.
The final quotation defines included equipment and options. Depending on the selected duty, the package can include:
Catalogue ranges describe the model family. The two quoted duties below retain their original pressure and flow conventions; absolute pressure (bara) must be distinguished from gauge pressure (barg).
| Published nominal power | 200–700 kW |
|---|---|
| Published discharge pressure | 3.1–10.3 barg |
| Published flow | 54–119 m³/min (manufacturer catalogue basis) |
| Catalogue dimensions (L × W × H) | 4,570 × 2,090 × 2,010 mm |
| Catalogue weight | 9,550 kg; confirm selected package |
Range endpoints are not one simultaneous operating point. Flow reference conditions and the selected pressure determine the available duty. Dimensions and mass are catalogue guidance; installation must use the approved general arrangement.
The following values describe an individual Ingersoll Rand proposal. They are project-specific and are not universal ratings of the compressor family. Flow reference conditions and gauge or absolute pressure must be retained when comparing equipment.
| Referenced configuration | C700 C115MX3 |
|---|---|
| Discharge pressure | 9.500 bara — absolute pressure |
| Flow (proposal basis) | 117.1 m³/min, as labelled OM3/MIN,DRY in the proposal |
| Shaft power | 607.9 kW |
| Offered motor | 700 kW / 6,000 V / 50 Hz / IP23 |
| Separate engineered example | 25-12-191BD0: 9.000 barg, 95.751 m³/min dry (OM3/MIN,DRY), 600 kW motor at 20°C inlet |
Send AVISTA your required pressure, flow with its reference conditions, operating temperature, cooling-water data, electrical supply and installation requirements. AVISTA can assist with package selection, commissioning and spare-parts planning.
Industrial manufacturing, chemical plants, utilities and oil-free process or instrument-air systems are potential applications. Confirm pressure, air quality, operating profile and site utilities before selection. Oil-free air still requires appropriate treatment where a specified dew point or particle class is needed.
Installation planning covers cooling-water connections, condensate drainage, inlet and discharge piping, blow-off routing, electrical protection, instrument air and maintenance clearances. Package dimensions, lifting data and utility loads should be taken from the approved project drawings.
AVISTA can support duty selection, technical clarification, quotation, documentation coordination, commissioning, maintenance planning and genuine spare parts. Send required flow with reference conditions, discharge pressure, inlet temperature range, humidity, elevation, cooling-water data, electrical supply and control interfaces for an engineered selection.
Ingersoll Rand identifies upgrade routes for C700 and CV2 machines, including airend modification or exchange. AVISTA can review the installed serial number, present duty and available upgrade scope.
Yes. The Centac design separates the compressed-air path from the lubricated gearing and bearings. Final air-treatment requirements and the selected package are confirmed during technical review.
They describe the stated engineering selections or catalogue envelope. A project guarantee requires an agreed duty point, reference conditions, scope and performance curve.
